April 19, 2020 – Borders are Officially Closed Until May 21
It was announced by our Prime Minister yesterday that both of our governments agreed that the border closure would be extended by at least another 30 days, until May 21. Non-essential business are still closed until further notice as well. This means that we will officially have to close for our opening week, with a very tentative opening date of May 23. We will of course need the closure on non-essential business to be lifted and the border to be open by that date in order for us to open. We remain hopeful that this could happen, but it is likely we will be delayed further.
I will of course keep everyone updated as we learn any new information and will be sure to contact groups if their weeks are effected. We are going to miss seeing everyone who will be unable to make their trip this year.
